Since he was a boy he has always had a passion for discovering how things were composed, going far beyond the banal appearance. This curiosity led him to undertake studies in biochemistry which he completed successfully. It was during his studies, at the age of 16, that he approached the world of perfumery by seeing a lady preparing the doses for an Eau de Cologne.
He began as a self-taught student of the great fragrances of the past, trying to reproduce them, then reinterpret them and create new concepts.
He often worked with other creators, mainly Dominique Ropion, who was his mentor, contributing to the creation of highly successful fragrances.
Distinctive note: Ambergris
Fragrance : amber, musky, animal, powdery, marine
Origin : Ambergris, not to be confused with yellow amber, a fossilized resin of plant origin, is secreted by the sperm whale which then releases it into the sea, where it remains for a long time before consolidating its characteristic odor. Considered as precious as gold, it has been the object of trade since 1000 BC. Ambergris is collected in New Caledonia, where it is stranded on the beach during floods.
Extraction : It is used in the form of an infusion, tincture or extract. Today it is often synthesized from natural raw materials.
